Synopsis...

What extreme would you go to to shut off the noise in your head?



OFF{al} will be debuting with Yog Sototh aka Yan Kaos' GORE SHORT FILMS ANTHOLOGY #4 which will be released in the near future.

Original vision will appear in the near future as the OFF{al} G.S.I.F.D. Cut. Keep an eye open for new trailers and artwork.

Movie looks great...at the least that is what I have been getting from everyone that has seen it. This as you can see is the Yog Sototh EDT. My original idea will be forthcoming in the near future. That one is gory and sicker, alas I ran out of time and didn't want Yog aka Yan to wait any longer. In stating that I am more than happy with what I created in this currant version. Ending was incidental but PERFECT!

About the release I am planning on....

OFF{al} SACRIFICE TO YOG SOTOTH CUT is the version of the short that will feature in the upcoming GORE SHORT FILMS ANTHOLOGY #4. Difference with this version here is the opening and closing credit footage.

In the near future will be a final FINAL CUT...my original vision plus a a couple of amendments that came to me over time such as  a different score for the most part. At the time I had ran out of time. Didn't feel it fair for either Yog or the other filmmakers to wait for me any longer.

What I created in place of my original vision...with the ending...fits beautifully into the scheme of things and has different levels to the experience depending on the viewer and their perception.

Passion eats inside of me to create this vision!

What will be different by my original vision than what has been created now?

I. Inky, dingy black and white. This isn't out of hiding aspects of my effects but because I love the visualness. May even do a colour version as well...try and get certain aspects of the colours out.

II. More blood and gore.

III. Minor differences in different aspects of the soundscape and overall aesthetics of the visual.

Going to take some time...won't rush this. A lot more painstaking with the editing to try and create an original experience. Going to be more layered to try and create the effects I am after.

Holy fuck! Very disturbing. Love the gore and the (ugh) eating. The vomiting scene is epic! Really nice use of close ups and a general claustrophobic vibe. Love the score too.

Wait... did I miss it? Did you release it? Or just the previously edited version?
I am eager to see the full version myself

Oh gosh...let me think...i THINK you saw the version I shared with the guys...I think 

If not it's not much different, just an opening credit to the Yog Sototh Cut which is released on his compilation. My version will just be black and white I think...was going to be so much more but I felt I should move on and start on other stuff instead. Also feel the film is just fine as it is...just dig the idea of doing black and white for my own release....
