The Abomination (1986)
« on: November 09, 2014, 10:46:14 AM »
Tumorous parasitic beasts are nesting in the bowels of their victims... Soon the will hatch... There will be no escaping!

A quarter century later, filmmaker Bret McCormick still corners the market on monstrous tumours with his ode to Hershell Gordon Lewis in this ground-breaking indie splatter-fest.

Bible-thumping TV evangelist Brother Fogg unleashes a biblical plague straight out of the "Book of Daniel" into the unsuspecting home of Cody Wells and his mother. Cody is soon taking orders from the Abomination and no one is safe from the creature's insatiable diet of human flesh.

Muther Video

SOV 80s gore classic The Abomination is the second film film effort of Bret McCormick; who at the time used the name of Max Raven for whatever personal reasons Bret had at this time.

Unlike one of the reviewers on IMDb, and no doubt a few others out there in reality, I did not find The Abomination boring at all! An experience in madness and a control to feed this "demon's" bloodlust for human flesh is had with all it's gory trimmings. I enjoyed how the story pans out from it's dream sequence beginning to it's blood soaked ending. Maybe the ending could have been more insane but it was far from terrible! Anyone into 1980s SOV / UG - Indie / Gore films should love this experience in demonic murderous human meat feeding mayhem!

Once again some kindly soul who loves these films of the SOV / Underground variety has uploaded The Abomination to Youtube, rejoice and experience it here at Extreme Horror Cinema…please enjoy and let us know about your experience good or bad here in the thread with a reply.

I obtained my copy of The Abomination from Muther Video here http://www.bloodsuckersfromouterspace.com in the Muther's Creature Double Feature.

This and Ozone! Attack of the Redneck Mutants are '80s gore classics! I have the double feature DVD and original VHS copies of both movies!

I watched The Abomination. Great movie. 8/10. A good gory fun creature feature mixed with a slasher.
Now I need to watch Ozone Attack of the Redneck Mutants. Just based on that title I'm probably going to enjoy it.
