Cryptic Plasm (2015) A Brian Paulin Film

"Blood and guts are spilled as a nonstop practical effects-laden extravaganza"
Mario ~ Extreme Horror Cinema

The closing sequence alone has more imagination than any two or three contemporary
Hollywood horror films combined
Charles T. Cochran ~ Views Of The Fantastic

The story is about David Gates, a cryptozoologist  who is hired to film his investigations. One of them being a mysterious town where all of it's inhabitants have vanished without a trace. David uncovers far more than he anticipated and puts his own life at risk.  Afterwards David begins to feel the bizarre effects from the town within his own biology. Mean while he is sent by his investor to film an exorcism.  Something that is completely outside of his expertise. Already suffering from unnatural symptoms, David, who is now reluctantly in the presence of pure evil, fears that multiple inhuman forces are tearing him apart from inside.

Morbid Vision Films

Cryptic Plasm (2013) is a gore film by Brian Paulin and his 7th in his discography after 2010's Blood Pigs. Being a big fan of his films this is very exciting for me! From what everything I have read this has the promise of a more straight forwards storyline compared to his last three films and naturally Brian's trade mark gory practical effects.

For farther information please go and check out Mario's review in EHC Movie Reviews.

Cryptic Plasm (2013) will be getting a release from Black Lava Entertainment http://www.blacklava.tk.

I saw that as well on FB. He has closed down his market stall as well. I am glad he got the job, also glad he can get back into finishing this film. This feels like it will be his best film to date.

Hope all goes well with him as he is one of the good guys.

I think he has done well in sales overseas on films Bone Sickness and Fetus.

I believe he does well in Germany and Japan, but now I believe Fetus is banned in Germany...they seem to ban a few movies there now :nerdystraight:

Yeah, I heard that about Germany.

Aside from the end credits........CRYPTIC PLASM is now a finished movie on my hard drive! We now have to decide on financing the dvd. And we might also begin to release screeners without credits soon.

I think this is brilliant news, been waiting for a whole and for the reasons I can understand why it took a awhile. Quite excited about helping out with the fundraiser  8)

"Ok, now I'm done filming Cryptic Plasm. I didn't want to say anything, but after my last viewing of Cryptic Plasm I decided there was one scene that ended too quickly. After re editing the last master copy I realized I could put a couple effects shots back in that I removed because I thought it would slow down the pace. Then I realized the next scene was different from what I thought it was going to be. So I am able to put back those effects shots and I wanted to add to it. It wasn't enough. Now I'm happy. I will finish the master this weekend."

Great news for all us Morbid Vision Films fans out there who have been looking for this gory treat from Brian Paulin! I will have to assume that his fund raising campaign where you can get your name in the credits will start up soon, so look forwards to this!
