Sinistre {1994/2017}
« on: April 23, 2017, 07:59:06 PM »

A low-budget horror film made in 1994 that's been re-edited & restored by director, Ronnie Sortor.

Quote
SINISTRE was first released on VHS by Todd Sheets' defunct Asylum Home Video in 1995. SRS Cinema re-released an altered version on VHS in 1997, then again on DVD in 2006. After editing Phil Stevens' horror movies, FLOWERS and LUNG, director/editor Ronnie Sortor resurrected his first feature into the digital realm. Using original raw camera footage, the entire movie has been re-edited from scratch. Additional special effects scenes were shot to complete the director's original vision. The SINISTRE soundscape has been overhauled as well. Currently, Mark Kueffner, the composer of FLOWERS, LUNG and ANOMALY is working on a new score. Look for the SINISTRE Director's Cut in early 2017!

Plot Outline;
SINISTRE begins with three criminals whose bid to pull off the perfect heist goes horribly wrong. First, one of them is shot and killled during the robbery, leaving the young couple, Simon and Lisa, to fend for themselves. The two decide to separate and rendezvous in a deserted house. Simon arrives first, and proceeds to spend the night there, waiting for Lisa. During the night, Simon comes face to face with the dark presences of a supernatural axe murderer and the specters of his victims, who attempt to claim him as one of their own.

Well worth the purchase for fans of the underground and SOV films. Dug the story, nice scenery and the effects work/kills are more than worthy to check out. Awesome location to shoot at as well. End shot of the house, loved the atmosphere of dread

Leave it at that has am working on my review. Will be something a bit different from me
