Can't wait to see Flesh of the Void? Good news. We're going to announce the world premiere of the film very, very soon. We're also planning on doing another press release, with new stills and information. So watch out in the next few days, we'll be announcing it here on Facebook, as well as on sodomchimera.com.
Until then, check out these two shots. You most likely already know the second one, which is a still from the film. What you probably didn't know is that it was based on a 35mm photograph director James Quinn took almost a year before production of the film started. It was recreated identically, and shot on 16mm for the film itself, with the exact same set, props and costume. Seeing this shot come to life this way was an absolutely beautiful process, and was later done with several of his other photographs.
More coming soon. Stay tuned.

Any tattoo fans among our audience? We can't help but show this off.
The process of shooting Flesh of the Void had quite an impact on us. One still in particular got stuck in our heads, and it sort of became the main image for the film, popping up wherever someone mentioned us. Well, from now on, this very image will be on director James Quinn's arm for the rest of his life. Since it is his first feature, it has quite a lot of personal meaning, making it a perfect tattoo.
If you're on Instagram, check out the tattoo artist's page. His name is Armin, and you can find him at @todt_und_deibel_ink.
He truly is a master of his craft, and has even managed to recreate the Super 8 grain from the original image. If you're into dark art, you should definitely enjoy his work.
We also have other news for you:
We're currently working on Sodom & Chimera Productions merchandise. We're going to be selling Flesh of the Void and The Law of Sodom shirts, as well as prints of the official Flesh of the Void poster. We'll post an update as soon as everything is ready.
As always, stay tuned, more is on the way.

Do you like your horror surreal, weird, or just straight out obscure? If so, join us at the world premiere of Flesh of the Void, a violently grotesque experimental horror film, playing with the thought that death may not be the peaceful fading many believe in, but a terrifying experience of facing the most vile, immoral and uncomfortable fears of the human brain, living it through in a disjointed trip of absolute madness and horror. The film was shot entirely on Super 8 and 16mm, often using experimental methods to make the image even more raw and grimy, giving the film a unique visual touch.

The film will screen on Saturday, October 21st at midnight at the Gateway Film Center in Columbus, Ohio, preceded by the shorts 'To My Mother and Father' by Baskin director Can Evrenol, and the bizarrely intense looking 'When Susurrus Stirs' by Anthony Cousins. Flesh of the Void director James Quinn will be in attendance.

If you want to buy tickets for the film in advance, you can do so here:
http://gatewayfilmcenter.org/nff-flesh-of-the-void-world-premiere/

See you there!

Flesh of the Void
December 13 at 12:13pm

We'd like to apologize for the lack of news regarding Flesh of the Void, we're currently in a limbo of working on other projects and getting the DVD release ready. We'd like to specifically say to please not take it personally if you send us messages here or ask questions in the comments and we don't react, which is simply due to the fact that we're constantly getting requests, questions or other types of messages not only on this, but also on our other films' Facebook pages, and, adding the fact that our main way of communicating is email, where we also frequently get a lot of inquiries, it's just becoming increasingly harder to get back to everyone. So please, if you have any questions or requests of any kind, please send an email to productions@sodomchimera.com instead of writing us on Facebook. It helps us keeping track of everything and makes it easier to actually get back to you.

That being said, we from Sodom & Chimera Productions just announced the release of the first official trailer for our upcoming arthouse horror short Sulphur for Leviathan, as well as five new stills. If you enjoyed what you saw of Flesh of the Void so far, there's a good chance you'll love this one too. Shot entirely on 16 and 8mm, and about as blasphemous and radical as a film can get, this evil short will definitely cause some controversy again and probably won't reduce the number of people running after us with pitchforks.

The trailer is going online today in exactly four weeks, on January 10, 2018. Keep your eyes out for this one.

A lot of people have been waiting for this announcement. After being bombarded with emails and messages about the DVD release of Flesh of the Void, we can finally announce that it will be available through BLACK LAVA ENTERTAINMENT, the top European distributor for extreme and controversial films, who have previously released films like Thanatomorphose - le film, Kasper Juhl's Gudsforladt (A God Without A Universe), and all of Lucifer Valentine's films. You will be able to order the DVD online directly through them, with (very affordable) worldwide shipping available.

The exact price of it along with the release date will be announced soon.

Stay tuned, if you've been following this film for as long as a lot of people here, you really don't want to miss this.

As promised, here's the first of three alternate posters that have never been released. Grotesque and surreal, as always.

Poster art by the incredible David Chance Fragale.

I wasn't gonna watch the screener James Quinn sent me. I wanted to wait til I held the film in my hand and put in the disk. <3 But on this lazy Sunday I said why not. I'm glad I watched it. The imagery is beautiful. There was one scene and one audio that were a tad disturbing. The audio of a child screaming , pleading that made me sit up and take notice of that gut feeling I like. : ) Chilling to say the least. The other scene I won't mention. Everything else was complete pleasure.

This film carried all the things I like in underground filmmaking. This is why I like the independent scene, filmmakers can put their visions on screen, what they dream, feel, like to see and there is no one to tell them to remove this part, or change the cover art, or even the title. They don't care what the mainstream thinks. It's theirs, to share with whomever is interested. Thank fuck there are companies like Unearthed Films, Black Lava and many others that will take these movies and give them amazing releases.

Just finished watching this.

I loved it. The visuals took over my mind and i was simply speechless. And the final scene before the epilogue was amazing! Aghh so good.

I cannot wait to buy this. I love his style.
